With only a population of 2,037, Point Edward is small but mighty with it’s well kept infrastructure and community pride. Sarnia merges quickly with Point Edward that you may not even notice that you’ve entered the Village. Point Edward is famous for the lush nearby parks and boardwalk along the mouth of the St. Clair River under the Bluewater Bridge.

Point Edward is home to a variety of different single family homes & condos. Mariners Village Condos is high end condo living overlooking Bridgeview Marina. There isn’t much turnover here for homes which makes this Village in high demand from buyers. Point Edward has it’s own OPP station, Fire Department, Village Council and Municipal Services & Departments. When you drive down the main street of Point Edward (Michigan Avenue) you will notice many top of the line boutique stores & specialty restaurants. Purdy’s Fish Market, Los Puntos Cantina, Sitara Indian Cuisine, Salvatore’s, The Cheese Wedge, Davey Jones Quality Meats, and Albert’s to name a few of the yummy places to eat or buy groceries!
Point Edward is arguably the most prestigious community in Sarnia-Lambton. Known for gorgeous parks, walking trails, beaches and great viewpoints of Lake Huron and the St. Clair River.
Locals and tourists flock under the Bluewater Bridge (Bridge to Port Huron, Michigan, U.S.A.) for the famous “Bridge Fries” as well as the numerous ice cream shops. Grab a waffle cone and take a nice walk along the lake. You will most certainly see several boats enjoying the calm waters, or utilizing the Sarnia Yacht Club or Bridgeview Marina. You can also cool off with the kids at the splash pad and have a picnic under the bridge!
Canatara Park headlines Point Edward with several festivals, outdoor concerts, charity events, fireworks, and parades for the entire family to enjoy at their leisure. Canada Day brings thousands of residents and visitors to Canatara Park for the many daytime festivities. The arena is the home to the Point Edward Blackhawks minor hockey teams in the Winter, and the Point Edward Pacers lacrosse teams in the Summer.
Point Edward includes several major hotel chains on Venetian Boulevard including Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, Sunbridge Hotel, and Quality Inn. These hotels cater to International Conferences, Hockey Tournaments, and tourists of Sarnia-Lambton.
Starlight Casino Point Edward owned by Gateway Casino & Entertainment Limited hosts table games, slot machines, and live entertainment. The casino had a massive renovation and boosts the economy of Point Edward. The casino has one of the best covered outdoor patios overlooking the St. Clair River and Bluewater Bridge!
