Bright's Grove

Bright’s Grove is very much a summer retreat for the beach lover. Originally consisting mainly of smaller homes and seasonal cottages. Bright’s Grove has developed several modern, year round subdivisions of large single family detached homes. Primarily family homes built in the 1980s, Bright’s Grove has seen new subdivisions including Stoney Creek completed in 2015 and The Enclave at Huron Oaks completed in the early 2010s. There are plans for a new subdivision near the old Bright’s Grove Golf Course.

Bright’s Grove offers long sandy beaches lining Lake Huron for the entire family to enjoy. Bright’s Grove is most definitely one of the gems of Sarnia which draws many visitors that enjoy water sports such as paddle boarding, swimming, jet skiing, fishing and boating.

Bright’s Grove is the home of three public parks including Mike Weir Park, Wildwood Park and Kenwick Park. Bright’s Grove Public School is the only school in Canada that fronts directly onto a major body of water (Lake Huron). Bright’s Grove is also home to the weekly Summer farmer’s market and other high draw events such as Art in the Park, Canada Day in Bright’s Grove (which takes place on the Saturday before Canada Day, including a parade, mini carnival activities, live entertainment and fireworks) and the Bluewater International Granfondo cycling event.

Come for a round of golf at Huron Oaks Golf Club (Mike Weir’s childhood course), or find a spot on the Lakeside patio of Skeeter Barlow’s famous chicken and ribs restaurant. It’s hard not to find fun in Bright’s Grove, especially during the Summer!
